An education services company in Virginia is looking to add a new IT Support Specialist for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the IT Support Specialist will be responsible for working with Corporate leaders and IT vendors on implementation and support of school and corporate technology.
Responsibilities:
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for:
- Working remotely with Corporate IT Department on resolving onsite issues
- Timely completion of technical support tickets
- Performing necessary servicing and preventative maintenance of all IT equipment
- Managing inventory of all IT assets
- Identifying and repairing complex IT operational problems with work-issued IT equipment based on customer feedback and needs
- Deployment and maintenance of endpoint management software, manage antivirus alerts for all computers and run software updates
- Providing computer training and ongoing support for school leaders and corporate staff members
- Onboarding and offboarding new or existing staff members
- Collaborating with School Leaders on departmental and school projects
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3 years of related Field Service experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Information Systems
- A Certification or equivalent experience servicing PC hardware and software.
- Experience with MS Office 365 – Email/OneDrive/ SharePoint/TEAMS
- Experience with Chromebook and Apple devices
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10
- Active Directory/ VPN management experience
- Wireless Access Points experience
- Experience with Remote Desktop Support ( TEAMS/Autotask AEM/ Zoom, etc.)
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
